Graham Potter’s return to Brighton and Hove Albion has turned into a nightmare as he suffered his first defeat since taking charge at Chelsea in a 4 -1 Premier League defeat on Saturday.
Against Potter’s bewildered team at the Amex Stadium, the hosts got off to a flying start and took the lead within five minutes with a spectacular goal from Leandro Trossard.

Brighton continued to attack, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek scoring an own goal from a corner and Trevo Chalobah also scoring an own goal before the half time break.
Chelsea started well after half-time and returned to the match with a Kai Havertz header three minutes into the second half, but the damage had already been done and Potter’s side were unable to comeback.
Pascal Gross A fourth goal from Potter’s replacement Roberto De Zerbi capped off a sunny afternoon.
Brighton are seventh, while Chelsea remain in fifth place, eight points behind leaders Manchester City.
