Irish Chef Alan Fisher (Ireland), the owner and chef of a Japanese restaurant, has broken the Guinness World Records for longest cooking marathon.

He now holds the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual) with a time of 119 hours and 57 minutes. That is more than 24 hours longer than the previous record held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.
Throughout the record attempt, Alan had to overcome various types of obstacles. His back gave him trouble during the longest baking marathon (individual) record attempt.

Alan’s posture became distorted as a result of mixing dough by hand, and as a result, his back became tight and sore.Alan experienced fatigue and sleepiness near the end of the longest cooking marathon (individual) record attempt.

“During the cooking marathon, I peeled approximately 300 kg of potatoes.” For the first few days, I looked forward to this every evening because it allowed me to sit down.”
