Popular Nigerian comedian known as Untouchable had a terrifying early morning wake-up call when his portable power bank suddenly caught fire, filling his room with smoke and flames.

According to the comedian, the incident happened around 5 AM while he was sound asleep. He had left the power bank charging his phone on a chair beside his bed. He was jolted awake by loud popping sounds followed by thick smoke and sparks coming from the device.

“I was sleeping peacefully when I heard this strange KPA! KPA! KPA! noise like something was exploding,” Untouchable recounted in his usual humorous style. “When I opened my eyes, the entire room was filled with smoke. That power bank had turned into a small volcano right on my chair!”In a panic, the comedian quickly jumped out of bed and doused the flames with water before they could spread further.

The chair was severely damaged and left charred, which he later jokingly described as “designer ash.” The smoke was so intense that it triggered his smoke alarm, prompting concerned neighbors to knock on his door to check what was happening.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and the fire was contained before it could cause more serious damage to his home. Untouchable credited his quick reaction and what he called “divine intervention” for preventing what could have been a devastating blaze.

Speaking to reporters later, the comedian turned the frightening experience into comedy gold, sharing the story with his fans in his signature lively manner. “Na God save me o! If I didn’t wake up at that moment, maybe today people would be reading about how a power bank turned my house into a tragedy,” he said.
