Eddie Nketiah’s late heroics gave Arsenal a 3-2 comeback win over Manchester United at the Emirates.
In a quick encounter, United striker Marcus Rashford gave his side the lead with a powerful 25-yard strike that stunned goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. However, their lead lasted just six minutes before Nketiah Granit Xhaka’s cross brought Arsenal level.
There were more goals in the second half when winger Bukayo Saka drove in from the left and scored a spectacular goal past outstretched United goalkeeper David de Gea into the far corner in the 53rd minute. This time United responded six minutes later when defender Lisandro Martinez capitalized on Ramsdale’s tackle and dived to make it 2-2.
In the dying minutes of the game, Nketiah found himself on top of Martin Odegaard’s pass and calmly slotted into the bottom right corner to give the home side the win and prove why Arsenal are on top this season.
