Unholy Alliance: On Saturday, November 25th, NDLEA agents raided a lounge in Osogbo, the Osun state capital, where a night party organized for illicit substance abuse was to take place, and arrested some of the organizers who were found with drug exhibits.
The raid was carried out in response to credible information that some individuals were planning to hold a night party called Unholy Alliance for Stoners and Drunkards, where various types of illicit substances would be sold and consumed by patrons. Soon after the organizers began to gather at Berrymist Lounge in Osogbo’s Ofatedo neighborhood to begin the party, NDLEA operatives swooped on them, arrested them, and recovered illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia from them.
Akorede Adunni Ajibola, 22, Fola Olabode, 30, and Ikotu Omolayo, 25, are among those who have been arrested. Additionally, the Lounge’s management has been invited to participate in additional research.
