Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former Nigeria Petroleum Minister under President Goodluck Jonathan admistration, has been charged with bribery in the United Kingdom.

According to Reuters, British authorities accused her with bribery, claiming she collected bribes in exchange for awarding multi-million pound oil and gas contracts..

Alison-Madueke, 63, was a major player in former President Goodluck Jonathan’s government.From 2010 until 2015, she was the petroleum minister and president of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
