NCPC, state pilgrimage leaders visit Greece

The delegation of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission and the states pilgrimage leaders arrived Greece and inspected holy sites and hotels in preparatory for the forthcoming  pilgrimage  slated for early next year.

According to a statement  by the NCPC Spokesperson, Celestine Toruka, on Friday, the commission’s Executive Secretary, Rev Yakubu Pam, led the inspection team made up of state pilgrimage leaders and managers.

The team, on November 21, 2023, inspected holy sites in Corinth and Athens where Apostle Paul had his second missionary journey.

The team members were satisfied with the facilities at the hotels inspected, adding that “the commission would continue to ensure that the welfare of the Nigerian pilgrims is not compromised.:

Pam explained that the commission and the state leaders had resolved to make  Rome and Greece the next pilgrimage destination for the 2024 main pilgrimage exercise, hence the pre -visit tour of the holy sites and hotels in the two countries.

The NCPC delegation and the states Pilgrimage Leaders commenced a pre -visit tour of Holy sites and hotels in Rome and Greece on November 16-December 23, 2023.

At the end of the pre-visit tour in Greece, the NCPC boss enjoined the states leaders to ensure “early commencement of the pilgrimage process in their various states.”
