An explosion shook a mosque in Gadan Village, Kano State, during the early morning prayer, leaving 24 individuals injured. The incident, suspected to be caused by petrol, occurred around 5:20 am.

The injured, comprising 20 adult males and four male children, were swiftly taken to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital for medical attention. The Kano State Police Command spokesperson, Abdullahi Kiyawa, confirmed the arrest of the principal suspect, 38-year-old Shafi’u Abubakar, who cited a family dispute over inheritance as his motive for the attack.
