Taraba State governor, Agbu Kefas, yesterday signed into Law the 2024 budget captioned:”Budget of moving forward”.
The budget estimate, which was passed by the Taraba State House of Assembly, was adjusted from N311,388,525,661:96k to the latest figure of N313,388,525,662.56k.
According to the Speaker of the House, John Kizito Bonzena, the adjustment was to “accommodate some projects that touch on the five fingers development agenda of the government”.
During the ceremony at the EXCO chambers of the Government House, Governor Kefas stated that the “document represents the collective aspirations of our people”.
While commending the Assembly for the expeditious passage of the budget, the governor promised to ensure a full implementation of the budget.
He said: “This budget is not only a financial plan but a blueprint for a future we envision. My administration will be steadfast in its implementation. We will ensure that every kobo spent will lead to the betterment of our State”.
Earlier, Speaker of the House, John Kizito Bonzena, said the House expedited action to pass the budget in order to sustain the January to December budget cycle.
