“I congratulate you”- Fubara gifts Super Eagles goalie Stanley Nwabali N20m

Rivers state governor Siminalayi Fubara has given a N20 million prize for Super Eagles goalie Stanley Nwabali, who performed well in the just ended 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The governor, who hosted Nwabali and the rest of the Super Eagles team on Friday, February 16, announced that the shot-stopper will also be named Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State.

According to The Punch, Fubara also donated N30 million to the Super Eagles’ crew who were there.

He praised Rivers-born Nwabali for his outstanding goalkeeping in the Super Eagles team.

“I want to join the great and wonderful people of Rivers state to congratulate you, our brother Stanley Nwabali and our wonderful team,” the governor said.

Governor Fubara further vowed that his government would continue to provide purposeful governance and administrative efficiency since they are assisting the people of the state in engaging in honorable initiatives.

He stated that his goal was to create an enabling climate in which Rivers residents would continue to feel encouraged to do the right thing.
