Friday Night Football at Stamford Bridge saw Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea defeat Luton Town 3-0 thanks in large part to Raheem Sterling.
Pochettino earned his first competitive victory since being hired as the Blues’ head coach in the summer after failing to win either of his first two Premier League games in charge of the team.
Sterling scored the opening goal for Chelsea in the 17th minute. The winger received the ball on the right side, drove towards the Luton defense, and produced a beautiful finish.

In the 68th minute, Sterling helped the home team double their lead by latching onto a pin-point cross from Malo Gusto and stroking it in.
The Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson added more agony for Luton in the 75th minute when he lurked at the back post and finished off Sterling’s driven cross to score his first goal for the team.
