Experts in the oil and gas sector see the refinery’s impending operations as a significant milestone with the potential to positively impact Nigeria and West Africa’s economies. NJ Ayuk, the Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber, emphasized the refinery’s capacity to produce 350,000 barrels per day, highlighting its role in making Nigeria self-sufficient in fuel production and enabling exports to regional neighbors.

Ayuk sees this development as a transformative step that could eliminate fuel subsidies, stabilize prices, and enhance supply consistency.
