Cabo Verde has been certified malaria-free by the World Health Organization (WHO), becoming the third African country to achieve this status. The certification, granted to countries demonstrating the interruption of indigenous malaria transmission for at least three consecutive years, positions Cabo Verde alongside 43 others globally.
