Manchester United’s Premier League season opener at Old Trafford on Friday ended in a nerve-wracking 1-0 victory over Fulham thanks to a late goal by new acquisition Joshua Zirkzee.
In the first half, Fulham looked dangerous when playing on the counterattack, as Manchester United struggled to break through their opponent.

Captain Bruno Fernandes came the closest to score in the first half. After the intermission, frustration mounted as it appeared that the hosts would not find a winner.
However, United’s three-point lead was sealed three minutes from the end thanks to the arrival of substitute Zirkzee.
