The Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command, has denied claims that Nigerian social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman, VDM, was arrested.
According to early reports on Sunday, the social critic was arrested by Nigerian Police operatives for reportedly exposing a criminal act.
However, when contacted, SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, stated that Verydarkman was just invited for questioning.
She clarified that VDM was questioned on claims of cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and character defamation and was released immediately after making a statement about the allegations leveled against him by an individual.
