Two persons have been confirmed dead after a diesel-laden tanker crashed and exploded at Kara Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.
Africhhome News Team gathered that the driver of the truck with number plate DTM 109 XA lost control while going to Ogun State. He reportedly drove the truck into a fence when the vehicle overturned and fell into a ditch under the bridge. The head reportedly exploded, killing two of the three passengers.
Our correspondent said the truck spilled its contents onto the highway as firefighters stood by to avert any form of disaster caused by the spilled contents.
The incident caused a gridlock on the axis that extended into the Berger area. policemen and men of the Ogun State Federal Road Safety Corps were seen directing traffic at the scene.
