Eight British tourists involved in a violent brawl on a beach in Majorca yesterday have arrived in court today to face justice after three people were said to have been left with injuries from the ‘stag do’ clashes.
In exclusive footage obtained by MailOnline, four British men were seen being bundled out of a civil guard van and brought into the courthouse in Palma.
The accused, wearing shorts and T-shirts, arrived handcuffed in two police vans and were taken into the court building in the island capital by armed cops.
The four men in the second Civil Guard van, arriving around 5.30pm local time (4.30pm BST), used their free hands to cover up their faces with their T-shirts. They said nothing as they went in.
The court hearing is now taking place behind closed doors, as is normal in Spain. The accused are expected to be released on bail pending an ongoing probe following questioning in the court, but no decision will be taken until later.
The fight at the Balneario Illetas beach club restaurant in Calvia yesterday was described as a ‘stag do’ incident by local authorities, and the groom is thought to be among the men hauled to court this afternoon.
Shocking video showed people flung to the ground as members of staff tried to intervene and break up the carnage, which reportedly erupted after locals asked the group to stop littering in the sea.
A waiter and two police officers were injured in the clashes which saw dozens of waiters and holidaymakers battling on the streets outside the venue.

The video shows security guards and restaurant staff grappling with the allegedly drunken holidaymakers on the sand, as reggaeton music played in the background.
The waiters, wearing white polo shirts, are seen in the video attempting to pull the brawlers apart – many of whom are in bikinis and swim shorts.
One woman in a bikini ended up being knocked to the ground in the scuffle.
Women could be heard screaming ‘Stop’ in the footage and one onlooker was overheard saying: ‘I just can’t believe it.’ Other bystanders could be seen watching on from the restaurant, filming the fight with their phones.
In a second clip, showing another angle of the fight, one man is seen punching another in the face, knocking him the ground and prompting gasps from onlookers.
One woman behind a camera can be heard calling the men ‘f***ing guiris’ – a term used in Spain to refer to rowdy tourists, particularly those from Britain and Germany.
As one of the women involved in the fight is seen falling over, appearing to trip over her own feet, another women is head saying: ‘look at that one, she can’t even walk’ while a man is heard calling them ‘drunkards’. ‘How embarrassing,’ they add.
It was not immediately clear from the clip who was fighting who. Some partygoers could be seen throwing punches and kicks at each other, as well as the staff.

One group – understood to be the Brits involved in the fight – were later pictured in handcuffs on steps by the beach club, before being taken away by police.
A young waiter in his 30s was said to have been knocked unconscious in the fight, according to one shop worker in the hotel complex.
She told MailOnline: ‘It’s not normal here that that kind of fight happens, it’s more like that in Magaluf.
‘I have been here two seasons and this is the first time I hear of something like this.
‘The waiter is already good now, he was [unconscious] but it was few hours, he is fine now. He is not working today.
‘It’s a shame because he’s a nice guy, quiet even. He is about 30 [years old].’
A council spokesman urged ‘tourists like these’ to go somewhere else.
A Spanish Civil Guard spokesman told MailOnline: “Eight British men will appear in court in Palma on Thursday in connection with a disturbance in Magaluf.
He declined to name the men who were arrested but said three were aged 30, one aged 29, two aged 28, one aged 26 and another aged 24.

Commenting on yesterday evening’s events, Calvia Council said: ‘A mass fight at the Balneario Illetas restaurant on Wednesday has led to the arrest of eight English men aged around 30.’
‘A waiter was injured after being hit in the head and two police officers were also hurt and are awaiting a medical evaluation.’
The British tourists were said to have been on a stag do holiday and were staying at a hotel in the Son Armadams area having travelled from the island capital of Palma.
The men reportedly began to throw rubbish and cans of lager into the sea, which annoyed other customers and sunbathers on the beach.
According to the Majorca Daily Bulletin, the fight broke out after a waiter asked them to stop, leading to the clash with staff and other beachgoers.
‘The response of the group, who appeared to have drunk excessively, was extremely violent. They attacked staff and confronted the police.’
According to local news outlet Diario de Mallorca, six units of local police arrived at the scene. But instead of calming down, the outlet said ‘the tourists did not change their attitude and violently confronted the agents’.
Officials from the local Consistory said they had rarely seen such a violent reaction from detainees, who – they said – tried to flee once they were cornered by officers.
Diario reported that the eight Brits spent the night in the Calvià Local Police headquarters, and that they would be transferred to the Guardia Civil.
The outlet also noted that the waiter who was injured in the fight was knocked unconscious after ‘being hit in the head’.
The council said that seven restaurant customers and sunbathers have already pressed charges against the violent British tourists.
The brawl comes just days after 15,000 Majorcans took to the street to protest against tourists, and the disruption they bring to the local area.

Calvia’s deputy mayor Esperanza Catala said this morning: ‘Let no-one be mistaken, we are going to be inflexible with this sort of people that we don’t want in Calvia and we are not going to let them get away with anything.’
‘We are not going to allow anyone to come here that puts the security of our municipality at risk and damages our image. They need to take note and go somewhere else if they don’t know how to behave,’ she added.
The brawl in Majorca comes in the midst of ongoing anti-tourism protests on the island, as locals attempt to clamp down on disruptions caused by holidaymakers.
On Saturday, around 15,000 people took to the streets of Palma to show their unhappiness towards tourism. Locals were seen holding placards with slogans reading ‘tourists go home’ and some even heckled foreign holidaymakers whilst they enjoyed their evening meals.
