Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has increased the price of Premium Motor Spirit popularly known as fuel to 617 Naira Per Little.
On Tuesday visit to a Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) massive filling station in Abuja’s Central region verified that the fuel price had been raised from N539 to N617 per litre.
“It is true, I just bought at N617 per litre,” said a client who confirmed the development to Africhome.
However, the NNPCL has not disclosed the cause for the current fuel price hike, although it is thought that the increase is related to recent estimates by oil marketers that fuel prices will soon reach N700 per litre.
