The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has strongly condemned the Enugu State government for allegedly linking their Eastern Security Network (ESN) to Simon Ekpa, a self-proclaimed Biafra Prime Minister.
IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful criticized reports claiming that the police killed 27 ESN members associated with Ekpa, labeling them as baseless propaganda. He emphasized that IPOB and ESN have no connection to Ekpa or his so-called “Autopilot” faction.
Powerfully accused the Enugu State government and Nigerian police of disseminating malicious falsehoods aimed at damaging IPOB’s reputation. He urged them to stop associating IPOB with criminal activities, asserting that such claims are unfounded and intended to undermine the group’s efforts for self-determination.
The statement reflects IPOB’s ongoing struggle against perceived injustices and its commitment to distancing itself from any actions or individuals that do not align with its objectives.
