Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has paid a courtesy visit to Presiden, Bola Tinubu, at the State House, Abuja, on Thursday.
Soludo, who revealed his visit via a post on his X handle on Friday, described President Tinubu as his “friend and brother of over 22 years.”
LEADERSHIP recalls that Anambra State governorship election was conducted on November 8, 2025, with Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) emerging as the winner, securing a second term with a landslide victory by winning in all the 21 local government areas of the State.
Soludo scored a total of 422,664 votes, while his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), received 99,445 votes.
He said that President Tinubu was overly delighted to receive him, adding that the President also used the occasion to further congratulate him on his landslide victory on the just-concluded Anambra State gubernatorial election
Recall that President Tinubu had earlier issued a congratulatory message to Governor Soludo immediately after the governorship election was concluded and Governor Soludo was declared winner by INEC.
Soludo wrote: “Yesterday, I paid a courtesy visit to my dear friend and brother of over 22 years, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the State House, Abuja.
“Mr. President received me with his usual warmth, big smile, and open arms. He again personally congratulated me on the resounding mandate given to me by the good people of Anambra State in the just-concluded governorship election – a victory he described as a testament to the trust and confidence Ndi Anambra have in our shared vision for a livable and prosperous homeland.
“I remain deeply grateful to Mr. President for his immediate congratulatory message on that historic day, and for his continued goodwill and support for Anambra State. We are one Nigeria, and together – with God on our side – we will build the Anambra and the Nigeria of our dreams. May Anambra continue to win!.”
