The federal government has issued a warning about the proliferation of fraudulent online platforms claiming to be associated with palliative distribution in the country.

Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anite, communicated this concern through her official handle on Monday. She highlighted that several unauthorized online platforms falsely assert connections with the Presidential Palliative Programmes, misleading people and charging them for palliative distribution services.

In response, the Minister urged Nigerians to disregard such unauthorized platforms, emphasizing that the only legitimate and government-endorsed portal for the palliative initiative is http://fedgrantandloan.gov.ng.

She stated, “Protect your information. Avoid unauthorized channels. Rely solely on the verified website for accurate details regarding these vital initiatives. Also, do not pay anyone to process applications. It’s free.”

This caution comes as the government seeks to prevent citizens from falling victim to fraudulent schemes and ensure that accurate and reliable information is accessible through the official channels. It reinforces the importance of using only the verified website for authentic updates and applications related to the presidential palliative initiatives.
