Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority LASTMA and other emergency responders have recovered the body of a female biker trapped under a loaded containerized truck.
According to a statement by the Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA, Mr. Taofiq Adebayo, on Monday, the tragic incident occurred around 6:15 am at Sifax Inward, Iganmu Bridge.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the truck driver, who was speeding, lost control while descending the bridge, causing the truck to fall on the female biker. The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, according to reports.
The deceased’s body was taken away by the Lagos State Ambulance Service, while the truck was evacuated to ensure free vehicular movement on Iganmu Bridge.
