With a three-goal first half, Eintracht Frankfurt crushed Bayern Munich 5-1 on Saturday, ending the champions’ undefeated Bundesliga season.
Coach Thomas Tuchel unusually substituted both of his fullbacks at halftime. Bayern, who did not play last week after their league match against Union Berlin was postponed due to snow, looked far from fresh and in disarray.
After Bayern’s Noussair Mazraoui miskicked and Farès Chaïbi struck the crossbar, Omar Marmoush scored the opening goal for the hosts in the twelfth minute.Following more shoddy Bayern defense, Junior Dina Ebimbe doubled their lead in the 31st minute, and Hugo Larsson made it 3-0 five minutes later by taking advantage of a mistake by Joshua Kimmich.

Just before halftime, Kimmich equalized the score with a forceful effort from 20 meters out, but it was not enough to stop the home team.Five minutes into the second half, Eintracht scored again, this time from a textbook quick break, to take a 4-1 lead. Ebimbe then beat goalkeeper Manuel Neuer for his second of the game.
