Manchester United’s six-year wait for a trophy ended after defecting Newcastle 2-0 at Carabao Cup Final at Webley on Sunday.
Casemiro put Manchester United ahead in the 33rd minute of the final at Wembley Stadium and Sven Botman’s own goal made it 2-0 in the 39th.
It is United’s first trophy since winning the League Cup and Europa League double under Jose Mourinho in 2017.
The win keeps Ten Hag’s four-pronged challenge alive this season as his side challenge for the title and continue to compete in the Europa -League and Europa League and FA Cup.
