Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has received her third Guinness World Records (GWR) certificate plaque, officially cementing her status as a three-time record holder.
The latest recognition, delivered in February 2026, stems from her monumental achievement in September 2025, when she prepared an 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice in partnership with Gino Nigeria in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Guinness confirmed in January 2026 that this feat not only set the record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice but also qualified as the largest serving of rice overall. Her first record dates back to 2023, when she achieved the longest cooking marathon by an individual, lasting 93 hours and 11 minutes.
The 2025 jollof rice cookout initially earned her the second title, but the additional classification for the broadest rice serving category elevated her to three records.
In an emotional Instagram video unboxing the plaque on Friday, February 13, 2026, Baci expressed profound gratitude, stating, “Third time. Not because I planned it. Not because I felt ready. But because God allowed it.” She described the moment as unexpected and divinely orchestrated.

The chef shared her shock upon discovering the extra record months after the initial announcement, highlighting how what she thought was one accomplishment turned into two.
Fans and media have celebrated the milestone, praising her dedication to Nigerian cuisine and global culinary innovation. This latest plaque adds to Baci’s growing legacy as one of Africa’s most prominent record-breaking chefs, inspiring pride across Nigeria.
