The peaceful candlelight march in memory of late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, nicknamed MohBad, at Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos, was reportedly cut short when police officials on the site allegedly dispersed mourners with teargas.
Some footage of mourners fleeing to their heels as what appeared to be gas filled the air has subsequently emerged, with many saying that police officers on the scene used tear gas to force mourners away.

Oluwadolarz, a popular comedian who was also there at the event, tweeted a video of himself in distress, adding, “They chased us away with teargas.” “They chased us,” he said.
MohBad died on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 27.
A candlelight tribute was held in his honour where fans and celebrities alike came out enmasse to celebrate the late singer.
