Jon Jones submitted Ciryl Gane in the first round to win the heavyweight title in the UFC 285 main event. Jones hasn’t fought in three years, but the former two-time lightweight champion showed no signs of rust as he knocked Gane down early and forced the Frenchman into a guillotine choke.
Jones, 35, is considered by many to be the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, although the American’s career has also been marred by numerous failed drug tests and run-ins with the law.

He showed his talent again here, needing just two minutes to beat former interim champion Gane, 32, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
