Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, Obasa, Alabi, others honour Akeredolu at Lagos stakeholders meeting

Prominent Lagos stakeholders led by the President, Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, honoured former Ondo state governor, late Rotimi Akeredolu.

Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu led the call for a one-minute silence in honour of Akeredolu at the state House, Marina during the stakeholders meeting.

The meeting had in attendance dignitaries including Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff to President Bola Tinubu; Lagos Deputy Governor, Kadri Hamzat; National President, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) and Chairman, Bariga Local Council, Hon. Kolade David Alabi, Speaker, Lagos House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; traditional rulers and others.

Tinubu in his remarks said: “You are having problems seeing me, the job is monumental, it’s not a one-man job, it’s a collective team and you have to be able to listen, decipher, tolerate.

“Sometimes what you don’t expect will happen, as I was getting ready this morning, Akeredolu’s matter came in, Ghali Na’abba’s matter too, Power is Transient, Only Almighty Allah gives power.”
