Russia, Monday, denied a request from Siberian shaman Alexander Gabyshev to be transferred from a severe psychiatric hospital, where he has been confined for over three years after protesting against President Vladimir Putin.
55-year-old Gabyshev, was sent to the hospital in January 2021 for attempting to walk from Yakutia to Moscow to “exorcise” Putin from office.
Despite efforts to soften his treatment, a Siberian court upheld the decision to keep him in psychiatric care, prompting plans for further psychiatric evaluations scheduled for early October.
