The management of the Rivers State College of Health Science and management technology has ordered the closure of the school.
This follows days of protest by the students over the lack of basic infrastructure. The Provost of the Institution, Franklyn Nlerum told newsmen that the closure is to guarantee the safety of their staff because the protest has been hijacked by hoodlums.
It was gathered that several police vans were at the school on Saturday to ensure students leave the hostels. The students’ protest began last Tuesday.
They refused all appeals from the school management to stop the protests and return to the classroom.
