Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has once again debunked circulating death rumours, confirming he is alive and well at age 78.

The latest hoax emerged around February 10, 2026, with false claims on social media alleging he was rushed to the hospital and passed away, some even suggesting his son Uche or another family member confirmed it on Instagram.

Born on March 7, 1947, he will turn 79 next month and attributes his vitality to his family’s longevity.
