A 26-year-old Nigerian man has been sentenced to eight years in imprisonment for drug trafficking In United Kingdom.

The guy, known as Olusegun Babalola, was detained on Friday, May 19, 2023, after police raided his residence in Whitsed Street, Eastfield, as part of an investigation into drug peddling and exploitation in Peterborough.

Following months of investigation, police discovered Babalola was involved in selling crack cocaine and heroin around the city as part of a “county lines” operation.

Officers discovered more than £7,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine wraps stashed under a tissue box on his kitchen worktop the morning police raided his residence.

Other drug-related items, such as small weighing scales, numerous mobile phones, one of which was later determined to be the “deal line” for the county line, and a sizable amount of designer clothing and shoes were discovered in the one-bedroom apartment.

He appeared in Peterborough Crown Court on Friday, September 15, and was sentenced to eight years and three months in prison after previously admitting to five counts of supplying crack cocaine, being involved in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, and possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine.
