The protest against the scarcity of New Naira Notes began on the streets of Udu before it turned violent, resulting to the burning down of Access Bank, First Bank, Union Bank Properties In Udu area of Warri Delta State.

Some angry youths also destroyed a Point Of Sale (Pos) booth in Warri, Delta State, on Wednesday over the scarcity of naira notes in the country.

One of the protesters who would not disclose his identity said; We are hungry and we are in a cash dilemma. No new naira notes and they are rejecting the old ones. People cannot eat, do business, we are hungry and people are dying and they are still saying politics”.
