A multimedia platform, The New Africa, will hold its 2025 Global Economic Summit and Honours on December 16, 2025, with the Theme “Reimagining Africa”.
The event will feature African chief executive officers (CEOs), policymakers, investors, and innovators.
In a press statement yesterday, the organisers said it will chart a new future for the continent, to be held in Abuja, Nigeria.
The venue of the summit is the Nigerian National Merit Award (NNMA) House, Abuja.
The statement read, “This year’s landmark edition carries the transformative theme: ‘Re-Imagining Africa: AI-Driven Growth, Inclusive Education, and Global Partnership for a Prosperous Future’.
“Set against the backdrop of rapid technological transformation and shifting global economic dynamics, the summit will convene Africa’s most influential leaders, CEOs, investors, bankers, policymakers, industry experts, and innovators to explore actionable strategies for building innovative, inclusive, and resilient African economies.
“A platform for visionary dialogue and high-impact solutions, the summit will feature conversations across the continent’s most critical growth pillars, including: Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation; education and human-capital development; innovation-driven entrepreneurship; sustainable economic reforms; cross-border collaboration and global partnerships.
It is being convened by Dr Gift Chidima Nnamoko Orairu, a visionary leader committed to reshaping Africa’s narrative through innovation, leadership development, and inclusive growth. Among the honorees are Dr Charles Apoki – renowned thought leader, educator, and social reform advocate; Dr Ugochukwu Omeogu – leadership strategist and influential voice in human capacity development; Ifeanyi Oputa – acclaimed industry leader in technology and innovation; Valentine Ozigbo – business leader, entrepreneur, and champion of sustainable development; and His Royal Majesty, Dr Matthew Ediri Egbi – a traditional ruler and advocate for community-driven progress.
