An intoxicated British Ryanair passenger had to be wrestled by police after refusing to sit down for landing – forcing the pilot to circle the airport.

The chaos unfolded on a flight from Kraków to Bristol on November 11, 2025.

Footage filmed by fellow passenger Kacper Bujak shows the man swearing, arguing with cabin crew and fighting security staff as they tried to restrain him.

At one point, he even turns to Bujak and sticks his middle finger up at him.

The row escalates as the man grows increasingly irate, branding the officers ‘scumbags’ and ‘bang out of order’ as they cuff him.

Bujak said the same man had caused havoc on a previous flight the Sunday before, drinking heavily, swearing and behaving inappropriately towards a young woman seated nearby.

He also disrupted border control upon arrival in Kraków.

On the return journey, the man initially appeared calmer, even greeting Bujak saying, ‘Do you remember me?’ But after drinking on board, his behaviour quickly spiralled.

Passengers pleaded with him to quieten down because children were on the flight, sparking further arguments.

Near landing, he refused repeated orders to sit, forcing the pilot to abandon the approach.

‘The man was loud most of the time,’ Bujak said. ‘As soon as he had a drink, he started his mischief and acting up.’

The video ends as passengers disembark, but Bujak said police spent more than an hour removing the man, delaying the aircraft’s next scheduled departure back to Kraków.

A Ryanair spokesperson said: ‘Crew on this flight from Krakow to Bristol (11 Nov) called ahead for police assistance after an individual passenger became disruptive.

‘Police met the aircraft upon arrival at Bristol and removed this disruptive passenger.

‘Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behaviour, ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a respectful and stress-free environment, without unnecessary disruption.’

It comes after a flight to Ibiza was diverted last year when a drunk Brit reportedly downed vodka, hit the crew and spat at other passengers.

The plane from Manchester landed in Toulouse where the man and his wife were dragged off.

The couple were sat about 10 rows apart and the man spent the first hour of the flight ‘swigging duty free vodka’, according to a witness.

A passenger said the man began arguing with a male cabin crew member and punched him in the face.

He then started ‘kicking off’ and the passenger described the drunk man as ‘out of control’.

Attendants reportedly warned him the plane would be diverted if he didn’t calm down, and he replied ‘I don’t give a f***’.

The drunk Brit assaulted another passenger and spat at a woman as he was restrained in the disturbing incident which lasted around 40 minutes.

But after he left the plane, his partner started harassing another passenger, hitting and shouting at him.

Police physically restrained the woman, who was barefoot, before removing her too.

The Ryanair flight spent just over an hour and a half on the tarmac before resuming the journey to Ibiza.
