A fresh controversy has erupted in the household of Senator Ned Nwoko as his Moroccan wife, Laila Charani, has refuted claims by actress Regina Daniels that she had supported her financially in the past.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday, Laila questioned Regina’s claims, insisting that she has always been adequately provided for by their husband.
“How dare you say that you ever gave me money, for what exactly? I am very contented with the provisions my husband makes for our family. We should show Nigerians our bank accounts to see who is paying money to whose account,” she wrote.
Laila went further to accuse Regina of introducing her to drugs six years ago, alleging that she almost lost her marriage until her husband intervened.
“You know too well that I almost lost my marriage when you introduced me to drugs six years ago. It was my husband’s quick insistence on intervention that rescued me from that dark path,” she stated.
According to Laila, Senator Nwoko detests alcohol, smoking, and drug use, and has repeatedly cautioned against such habits.
She further alleged that Regina had been a negative influence on domestic staff and even on her younger sister, Destiny.
“The only reason you are fighting my husband is because he wants you to stop your drug and alcohol addiction,” she added.
Laila’s reaction comes days after Regina Daniels, in an earlier Instagram post, described Laila as a “wannabe Regina” and claimed she had given her money multiple times to feed.
The unfolding drama has stirred reactions on social media, with fans calling on both women to resolve their differences privately.
