Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin
Secretary to the Lagos State Government, Mrs. Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, has gifted residents of Igando/Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) palliatives to celebrate the Yuletide.
According to her, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu sent her to felicitate with the people and give them gifts to appreciate their constant support in making Lagos State greater.
She said: “I have to come this Yuletide season because I need to see my people so we can enjoy together and be happy. Secondly, Mr. Governor had asked that I come here because he has some food palliatives for them, the Office of the SSG only added a little.
“It is also interesting to note that this is not a party thing, the items are for everybody because this government is for everybody, not just APC members. Mr. Governor specifically instructed that we must give to everybody going through challenges at this time.”
Mrs. Salu-Hundeyin also urged the people to embrace peace and unity, as well as encourage a safer and more secured Lagos at this period.
The SSG earlier met with traditional rulers in Awori land, where she gave them a message from the governor.
The Alakesan of Akesan, Oba Najeemdeen Aberejo, thanked the government for appointing their daughter, Mrs. Salu-Hundeyin, as SSG, and for sending her to give back to her people.
He urged Governor Sanwo-Olu to give the Awori more appointments in his administration.
Oba Aberejo also felicitated with Lagosians, and admonished them to stay away from chaos.
Special Adviser on Tourism and Civic Engagement in Igando/Ikotun LCDA, Mrs. Bukola Soaga-Bada, thanked the governor and Mrs. Salu-Hundeyin for ensuring the palliative reaches the grassroots. “I’m so happy. Hearing this from the SSG is very pleasing to me and I am sure this palliative will go a long way to help the elderly, widows, less-priviledged and vulnerable in our community. I know my chairman will do as she has instructed, the palliatives will go down to every nook and cranny of the community,” she added.
