Nigeria President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of Mr. Ola Olukoyede’s as Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for a four-year term, subject to Senate confirmation.
Mr. Olukayode’s appointment follows the resignation of the EFCC’s suspended Executive Chairman, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa,” said Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

President Tinubu appoints new EFCC Chairman and Secretary of the Commission, according to the announcement.
Before Mr. Ola Olukoyede’s appointment as Efcc Chairman, he was commission’s secretary between 2018 and 2020 before he was suspended alongside Ibrahim Magu, amid a probe by a panel led by Ayo Salami.
