Umar Zulum Umara, the son of Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, has been arrested for killing a Chinese national following a brawl over a lady at an Indian nightclub.
According to Africhome Sources, Umara, a student at a university in New Delhi, allegedly shattered a bottle of alcoholic drink on the Chinese man who expressed interest in the same lady as the governor’s son.
The boy got into a dispute with a Chinese national over a lady in a nightclub in India, and Zulum’s son slammed a bottle on his head, resulting in his death.
“He was arrested by cops. This occurred during the governor’s visit to Pakistan two weeks earlier, along with Adamawa Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and Yobe Governor Mai Buni.
Based on the facts we have, his son is currently in jail and will be prosecuted in due course.
