A man armed with two assault rifles SHOT DEAD 5 people, including 3 police officers, near the French Embassy in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday, Tanzania’s president has confirmed.
A police chief told reporters they believe the assailant was from Somalia and warned the attack could be linked to the jihadist insurgency in neighboring Mozambique – although it is not yet clear whether the shootout in the diplomatic area was terror-related.
