Jarrod Bowen scored in the 90th minute as West Ham United secured their first major European trophy in more than half a century with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
Said Benrahma scored a penalty to give West Ham the lead in the 62nd minute after Italy captain Crista’s handball was confirmed by VAR.
Fiorentina equalize five minutes later when Giacomo Bonaventura controlled the ball with two defenders on him and sent an angled shot past West Ham keeper Alphonse Areola to make in 1-1.
The match at Prague’s Eden Arena looked set to go into extra-time when Lucas Paqueta slipped the ball through to Bowen, who slipped past defenders and fired past Fiorentina goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano
