Arsenal made a grand entrance back into the Champions League, thrashing PSV 4-0 at the Emirates Stadium to establish themselves as the team to beat in Group B.
The Arsenals had seemed a little less dominant than they did last season up until today, but they have now reverted to their ruthless, match-controlling best.
They didn’t have to wait long when Bukayo Saka gave the Gunners the lead eight minutes into the game.
Less than 15 minutes later, Leandro Trossard doubled the advantage, with Bukayo Saka serving as the assister.
Towards the end of the half, Arsenal put the game beyond doubt. Gabriel Magalhaes hit Trossard with a stunning vertical ball over the top.
Midway through the second half, Martin degaard scored the fourth goal for the Gunners by finishing a swift attacking move with a fiercely struck shot into the bottom corner from approximately 20 yards away.
