A high court sitting in Port Harcourt has sentenced one Sodienye Mbatumukeke to death by hanging for killing a Jumia delivery agent, Chukwuma Eleje.
Justice I. Chigoezi-Igwe in his judgment said the prosecution team was able to convince the court that Mr Mbatumukeke committed the crime.
Justice Igwe also found Mbatumukeke guilty of armed robbery.
Justice Igwe hoowever discharged and acquitted the second defendant, Divine Naabe, of murder and robbery.
He said there are doubts in the evidence provided by the prosecution team to find him guilty of committing the crime.
