On Sunday, Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, will vote on a new government that would end the 12-year rule of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the longest-serving prime minister in Israeli history.

If the coalition wins a confidence vote, the new government will be sworn in that same day. Naftali Bennett, the leader of the right-wing Yamina Party, would assume the position of prime minister until 2023, when Yair Lapid, a centrist opposition leader, would take over until 2025.

Netanyahu faces corruption charges and Israel has completed four elections since 2019, according to The Associated Press.
