Thomas Partey, the 32-year-old Ghanaian international midfielder currently playing for Villarreal (after leaving Arsenal in summer 2025), has been charged with two additional counts of rape.
These new allegations, authorized by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), involve a separate alleged victim and relate to offenses reportedly occurring in 2020.
The complaint was first reported to the Metropolitan Police in August 2025, prompting a fresh investigation. This development adds to the existing charges Partey faces from a prior case, where he pleaded not guilty in September 2025 to five counts of rape (involving two women) and one count of sexual assault (involving a third woman).
Those alleged offenses date to between 2021 and 2022. The new charges mean he now stands accused of sexual offenses against four different women in total, with the cases being unrelated.Partey is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on March 13, 2026, for an initial hearing on the latest charges.
He remains on conditional bail from the earlier proceedings. His trial for the original charges is set for November 2, 2026, at Southwark Crown Court.
