
Applications are now open for the Russia JINR Summer Student Program 2026. This is a fully funded summer program hosted by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Russia. Students from all countries are eligible to apply. Selected participants will spend eight weeks in Dubna, Russia, working on scientific and engineering projects with the support and guidance of JINR experts. There is no application fee, and IELTS is not required.
The program is open to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students. JINR will cover all expenses, including airfare, visa costs, insurance, accommodation, and a monthly stipend. More information on eligibility, benefits, and how to apply is provided below.

The JINR Summer Student Program, formerly known as the START Summer Student Program, is designed for bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students in the fields of science, engineering, and IT. The program aims to engage young students and connect JINR with the next generation of talented minds.

Areas of Summer Program
Eligibility Criteria
- This program is open to all citizens.
- Applicants who are majoring in the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
- Applicants who are from the third year of undergraduate education to the first year of the PhD program.
- This program is for people who have not participated in the START program before.
