Sean “Diddy” Combs’ expected release from federal prison has reportedly been delayed following allegations that the hip-hop mogul violated prison rules at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey.

According to updates from the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Combs’ release date has been moved from May 8, 2028, to June 4, 2028, a shift of nearly one month.

While the BOP has not provided an official explanation for the date change, multiple media reports linked the development to alleged infractions committed by the convicted music executive while in custody.

According to reports on international platforms, Diddy was allegedly disciplined for participating in a prohibited three-way phone call and for consuming homemade alcohol inside the facility, both regarded as violations of prison conduct rules.

However, representatives for the Bad Boy Records founder have denied the allegations. They insisted that Combs has maintained good behaviour and was focused on self growth while serving his sentence.

Diddy was sentenced in early October 2025 to four years and two months in prison after being found guilty on two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution. His conviction followed a lengthy federal investigation into allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering, charges that have dominated headlines since late 2023.

However, the Bureau of Prisons has not officially confirmed whether the date adjustment was connected to disciplinary action.
