Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Adedamola Adefolahan, widely known as Fireboy DML, has shared insights into his love life, describing it as rather tumultuous.
In a recent appearance on the Reprezent podcast, the singer revealed that the chaotic dating culture in Lagos served as the inspiration for his hit track, Ashawo.
“I wrote Ashawo to reflect the dating scene in Lagos, where I live. It’s quite messy,” he said.
Talking about his personal experiences, Fireboy added, “My love life is chaotic, but I connect well with women. When I feel stressed, I usually find balance through them.”
In the past, the artist has mentioned that he was even open to experiencing heartbreak as a source of inspiration for creating more authentic music.
Currently, Fireboy DML has not disclosed having a girlfriend or being in a romantic relationship.
