JUST IN: Bank of England issues New Banknotes Bearing The Image of King Charles

The Bank of England has issued new banknotes bearing the image of King Charles.

The picture of the King will appear on 5, 10, 20 and 50 pounds notes.

The bank said that the currency will start reaching people’s hands in the middle of 2024.

The image of the King will be seen on the front of the coin and when it is raised on the side of the coin’s security symbol.

The bank said that the old currency will continue to be accepted in shops even if the new ones bearing the image of King Charles are used.
