Four people have been killed in a teenager’s birthday mass shooting in Alabama, including a rising American football star.
The incident happened at the teenager’s 16th birthday party late Saturday night in the town of Dadeville in Tallapoosa County, which is about 100 kilometers northeast of Montgomery, the Alabama state capital.
In addition, 28 people were injured – and according to the authorities, some of them are in critical condition.
The deadly rampage happened in downtown Dadeville around 10:34 p.m. Saturday, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Sunday.
“There were four lives tragically lost in this incident, and there’s been a multitude of injuries,” Sgt. Jeremy J. Burkett said.
